Key Personnel, Managing Director – Zambia

David K. Mwitumwa has a Bachelor of Science (honours) degree in Building Economics and Measurement, BSc (BEM) from Aston University in Birmingham, U.K., obtained in July 1974. He has over 45 years Post Graduate Experience.

Mr. Mwitumwa is a registered Quantity Surveyor, registration No. 165, under CAP438 of the Laws of Zambia and has played a constructive role in the establishment of the Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board in Zambia. He is a full member of the Surveyors Institute of Zambia (SIZ), a member of the Botswana Institute of Development Professionals (BIDP), a founding member of the Institute of Botswana Quantity Surveyors (IBQS) and the Association of Consulting Quantity Surveyors in Zambia (ACQSZ).

He has played a substantial role in the formulation of the constitutions of the Institute of Botswana Quantity Surveyors and the Association of Consulting Quantity Surveyors in Zambia; he has further played a pivotal role in assisting to establish appropriate Conditions of Engagement and establishing an appropriate Tariff of Professional Fees for the Association of Consulting Quantity Surveyors in Zambia. Mr Mwitumwa has been an External Assessor / Examiner, at the Copperbelt University (CBU) in Zambia, of the final year Quantity Surveying students, for over ten years.

He has a vast experience in all aspects of Quantity Surveying both in Zambia and Botswana, having handled various projects, ranging from Residential Developments (either one type or multiple types), School Complexes, Rural Health Centres, Hospital Complexes, to various types of institutional buildings for Colleges, Universities, Industrial and Factory Shells, Hotel Refurbishments, Office Complexes, and varied Civil Infrastructural Developments. He was Chief Quantity Surveyor at Zambia National Housing Authority between 1974 and 1976.
